COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Pay:  $17-$20/hour, based on active hours worked. (Pay is tracked and applied only when actively managing calls, coordinating shifts, or providing direct care.) 
  • Shift:  After-hours schedule from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

JOB SUMMARY

 The After-Hours On-Call Coordinator ensures smooth operations outside regular business hours by managing caregiver call-offs, arranging shift coverage, and, in rare cases, providing direct care for critical shifts. This role operates from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM and covers the Sioux Falls, Brookings, Vermillion, and Mitchell areas. Compensation is based on active hours worked, ensuring fair pay for time spent resolving issues or providing direct care. 

Please Note: Some clients may smoke or have pets, so ensure you are comfortable with this before applying.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • On-Call Management: Respond promptly to caregiver call-offs and manage shift scheduling during after-hours.
  • Shift Coordination: Secure replacement caregivers for open shifts to ensure uninterrupted client care.
  • Direct Care (Critical Shifts Only): Provide caregiving services, including personal care and companionship, when no other coverage options are available. (Mileage reimbursement provided.)
  • Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with caregivers, clients, and management.
  • Record Keeping: Document all call-offs, schedule changes, and shift coverage details accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D certificate preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year of caregiving experience or relevant certifications (CNA, HHA, HCA, PCA preferred but not required).
  • Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable personal vehicle.
  • Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
SHIFT OPTIONS

  • After-Hours Schedule: 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Active Hours Only: Compensation is tracked and applied only when actively working to resolve issues or provide care.
